We have two new podcasts being released this week. Two more are in the final recording and mixdown stages so those should be coming next week.
Our podcast audience has almost doubled in the past 2 months and we’re excited to keep bringing you this audio edition of Canine Nation. Thanks so much for supporting us and for spreading the word!
Dogs, Science, This, and That
What ever happened to scientific method? You know, that process where we try to verify the truth of something and check it against the findings of other experts in the field. It seems these days that all you have to do is publish a book or get a television show to be recognized as knowing the “truth” about dogs and training. Maybe so but probably not! We got some interesting feedback at the Life As A Human blog site on this article from supporters of the “Natural Dog Training” method I mention in this article.
Loving A Dog To Death
I’m sure we all love our dogs. But what do we do to our dogs in the name of “love”? There are dangerously overweight dogs, many dogs are injured in traffic each year, and there are other dogs who suffer and sometimes die in even more dangerous situations that are entirely preventable. Maybe we humans are making too many assumptions about what it means to “love” our dogs and we could do better.
